NRC - Topographic/Utility Survey Case Study
Developers, designers, and planners all need up-to-date spatial data to assist with their projects. Topographic and utility surveys allow end-users to view and analyse accurate spatial datasets both above and below the ground identifying features such as water mains and gas pipes.
NRC are a regional player within the renewal industry offering solutions such as, solar, air source heat, battery storage, EV chargers, and more.
LAT have worked closely with NRC over the years to assist their renewal projects with accurate and precise geospatial datasets. Offering topographic and utility surveys that directly feed into their EV charger and solar energy installation.
Our data allowed designers to ensure that existing services were not struck and any damage caused. Abiding by BSI’s PAS128 standards, GPR and radio-detection methods were employed to soundly trace existing services with accurate depths. Combining GNSS and total station techniques to allow the sub-surface data to marry with the topographic elements provided a full, holistic overview on every project.
